I am a PhD student in the Joint Carnegie Mellon University – University of Pittsburgh Computational Biology (CPCB) program, advised by Dr. David Koes. My research focuses on improving the synthesizability of molecules generated by deep generative models for computational drug discovery. I aim to create tools that advance research, contribute to open-source software, and help drive progress in personalized medicine.

Built hybrid CNN+MLP models to predict spatial gene expression from histopathology images in inflammatory bowel disease. Enhanced embeddings from pretrained histopathology models for gene-level predictions and developed multi-channel architectures capturing local spatial relationships.

🏆 1st Place — Challenge 1

Developed a novel deep learning model to predict T cell state transitions after gene knockouts, integrating single-cell data with biological pathway databases (Reactome, STRING). First ML competition entry — won by developing a completely new approach.
